First up was the civil service test, which is basically going to ask you questions to get an idea of how honest and trustworthy you are (are you gonna steal a bunch of stuff from the city or no?) Once you get past that part, you will be brought in for a test specific for the 911 that measures your multi-function ability, typing speed and ability to operate under stress. Then you get to sit on the floor for a little bit to "see" what it's like to do the job.
Then they conduct an interview with you and if they like what they see and hear, you are immediately sent on for a polygraph. The big thing there is BE TRUTHFUL if you worry about what will or won't hurt you chances for hire you will CERTAINLY NOT be hired. A lot of what people think disqualifies them only does when they lie about it....COPS HATE BEING LIED TO. Then you go for you drug test and physical (they pay for it.)
