I applied online. I interviewed at Oregon Community Foundation (Portland, OR) in Jan 2025
Interview
I got through two rounds, an initial screening interview with two Grants Managers, and then a panel interview with the same Managers plus three additional OCF staff from other departments. I was living in New Jersey at the time, planning a relocation, and they had no problem arranging for a remote interview for the second round. The first round was remote by default. Communication with Human Resources in between each interview was professional, timely, and even gracious.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked what strategies I employ to ensure accurate data entry, especially when dealing with a great deal of data.
Smooth process, everybody very friendly. Got to meet numerous members of the team. Clear expectations and steps in process. Each interview was informative. Had to reschedule due to sickness and they were very understanding.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Oregon Community Foundation in Jul 2024
Interview
1:1 with hiring manager followed by panel in-person interview.
The 1:1 was informative and conversational. I liked the hiring manager's energy and enthusiasm for the work.
The panel was awkward. Typical random focus group of employees who do not understand nor have any experience working in comms.
The office seemed very formal and stuffy. Pay is just ok and they seem inflexible about WFH. In 2024, this is just not attractive.
