I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Opvia (London, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
I applied for a role first in 2024. They gave a stupid school level aptitude test followed by a take-home frontend test based on inventory which can take up to 7 days. Then they will ghost you once you submit it.
Nowadays these thugs are operating under the name of Seal. I ended up applying again this year thinking it's a different company but later I realised they are same old people operating under a new name. Apply only if you have to waste a couple of weeks.
I got an email to fill in answers to a math/logic test on google forms, relatively easy. Then I got an email to move onto take home test and book a call. Didn't get a reply or access to the repo for about a week. Call was 2 mins long and wasn't at the booked time. I sent my solution after a couple days and on the same day was told I failed as the marker couldn't run the repo. I investigated to find out that this was caused by an issue in their base repo, which I fixed and hosted online but never got another reply. Overall poor communication and process.

Interview
After having completed two test stages, an interview was scheduled and then postponed twice. The second reschedule was announced some minutes into the agreed video call time. After that, the interviewer, who happens to be the Seal founder, simply did not show up on the call or even bother to follow up with an apology.
The role still appears open on Otta, two months later.
