They sent an online assessment that took an hour and half to complete, and consist of average leet code problems. The OA is on hacker rank. If you pass the oa, you get an interview, although I didn't
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Optum (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2022
Interview
There was a HireVue at first asking generic interview questions (tell me about yourself…). Then the 30 minute zoom interview was more into the nitty gritty to clarify your resume experiences. Pretty chill if prepped for.
I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Optum (New Delhi) in Nov 2021
Interview
The process of the interview started after an online MCQ test having questions on topics like Operating systems, DBMS, Soft. Engineering,OOPS,Language specific(Python).
After the online mcq round 30 students were shortlisted out of ~60. Shortlisted students had interviews scheduled as,15 students on the 1st day and 15 students on the 2nd day.
In the interview, we were being asked about DSA, oops, and some aptitude puzzles. The interview lasted for half an hour for each student and the results of students shortlisted from the 1st day were out on the 1st day itself ie. even before taking interviews of 2nd half of the students, which I feel is the vaguest part I felt about Optum hiring in our college,
My interview was on the 2nd day and from the second only girls were selected none of the boys except one was selected from the second day.
To be very honest I feel Optum did unfair with the boys on the second day. I am not saying this because I was not selected but definitely, when I saw elite coders, bright students were not selected from the 2nd day but only girls. I felt really bad not only for me but also for my deserving friends.
