The interview process at Optmyzr for a QA/SDET role started with a short HR discussion. The HR call lasted about 10–12 minutes, where basic questions were asked around work experience, skills, reason for change, and expectations from the role in the short term and long term.
After that, the technical round was conducted by the SDET Lead with around 10 years of experience. This round focused mainly on core concepts of manual testing. I was asked to design test cases for a platform like MakeMyTrip, covering real-world scenarios. The discussion then moved toward API testing concepts, followed by some Playwright basics, such as:
What are fixtures in Playwright?
How do you upload files in Playwright?
Overall, the process was well-structured and provided a balanced evaluation of manual testing knowledge, API understanding, and automation basics, making it a very good experience.
