While the actual interviews themselves were positive (recruiter, hiring manager, and a 4.5-hour on-site session in Austin), the overall experience was disappointing due to communication breakdowns and a lack of respect for my time.
Here's where the problems began:
Travel Disregard: During travel arrangements, I requested an early flight to ensure proper rest before my in-person interview. Unfortunately, they booked a late-night flight, resulting in a post-midnight arrival the night before.
Unreliable Communication: After the March 1st interview, they promised a mid-week answer the following week. This pattern of missed deadlines and unfulfilled promises continued for over a month until April 10th, when I finally learned they wouldn't be moving forward.
Lack of Feedback: To add insult to injury, they refused to offer feedback on my interview performance, leaving me without any insights on how I could have improved.
This entire process wasted considerable time and effort without any constructive feedback.
It's frustrating to invest so much only to be left with unanswered questions. I sincerely hope they never experience a similar job search themselves.
