      Staff Engineer Interview

      3 Dec 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Santa Monica, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Openfit (Santa Monica, CA) in Jun 2020

      Interview

HR at Openfit's parent company reached out to me about a backend engineer position. I had a couple rounds of technical interviews after speaking with HR about the position. Since this was mid-2020 everything was done with zoom calls. I spoke with the hiring manager first where we went over the position and my experience. After that I had a 2nd round with the front and backend engineers where I did some problem solving and went over my experience. Initially they were going to have me do a homework project before doing interviews but they decided to skip that early on.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was asked about what kind of REST and websocket programming I had done with Java.
