I was not going to leave a negative interview despite my overall negative experience. That was until I got an offer letter intended for someone else 5 months after the fact. How or why that would even happen I don't know but it is the mark of someone extremely careless and insensitive. I really wish he was a C-Suite or VP level so I could call him out for his incompetence.
My interview was nearly 4 or 5 months ago but I recall having to do jump through a lot of hoops that I should not have had to including an hour long mock presentation that I spent days preparing for to not get the job because of one single section where I was asked to layout a ROI for a customer and given virtually no information beyond that. I showed this presentation format to seasoned professionals with decades of experience in the field and even they said it was totally left field to ask someone to do for a presentation. At one point, I was even interviewing for 2 teams until one decided to go with an internal candidate. Typical. I think I interviewed with at least 4 or 5 people before getting to the final round.
I was also given so much false hope by my original recruiter and eventually pawned off to the inept dullard that sent me someone else's offer letter months down the line.
I am blacklisting OT from this point forward. Any company that would send someone else an offer letter/email by mistake is clearly nowhere I'd ever want to work.
