      Service Manager Interview

      16 Jan 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Kansas City, KS
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Onsite Logic (Kansas City, KS) in Jan 2020

      Interview

I was questioned by the owner of the company about my resume and that was about it. It was really awkward and he was difficult to understand. Just about every accomplishment I had on my resume he questioned with disbelief. I don't know if he has social problems or what but it was so awkward and uncomfortable. As soon as I got home I emailed him and asked to withdraw my candidacy. On the phone he made the company out to be bigger than it was. When I got there it was a really small one room office with what looked like 3 employees. So no room to grow. It was also very quiet in the office and I got the feeling that everyone there was uncomfortable. But as far as the interview itself... I walked into the building and up to the third floor. (There's a different company in each office on that floor) I talked to the nice lady at the front and she tried to call the owner... he didn't answer.. So I waited for about 10-15 min and he comes back, Introduced himself and then walks me back to the office. He brought me in his personal office which was about 10x10(smaller than my current office..) He pulled out my resume and just questioned every line... I felt like I was having to defend myself to this guy. No questions about my leadership skills or anything. Just.."I see you managed this amount of people. I'm having a hard time seeing how you did that...". Part of me thinks he may be jealous of bigger companies. So after grilling me on my resume he asked me one question at the end that was super confusing...I'll put it below. He left no time for me to ask questions, he just abruptly said thank you and shook my hand. ..

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do I need a Server manager if I have 15 employees.. He corrected it to.. Why do I need a server if I have 15 employees... changed to.. Why does a company need a server if they have 8-10 employees...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are always interested in improving. We are also sorry the interview felt awkward and uncomfortable for you. However, we can understand how you might have had that reaction after uncovering in the interview that you provided false information on your resume (a degree you did not earn) and false information in response to the pre-screening online interview question. As a result we did cut the interview shorter than normal. Wishing you well in future interviews!
