Applied online, got a typical screen from HR. I was assigned a significant coding challenge after the screen which was strange. The HR person told me not to spend more than 4 hours on it. I completed the task but it lacked some polish and tests I'm sure. I'll never really know because weeks went by and I got an automated email saying my candidacy was ended. Pretty disrespectful and points to a lot of internal disorganization on their part. I doubt the code was reviewed at all even given the format this company uses for candidates. I was honest and showed them my first instincts instead of cheating and putting extra hours in and it got me rejected.
