I applied online. I interviewed at One Food Story (Sembawang Estate, ) in Mar 2023
Interview
It was good and they were professional, the interview was done pretty efficiently and they asked some preliminary questions to warm me up first before going straight to asking. It was a good experience

Question 1
What do I hope to achieve from this internship at One Food Story?
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at One Food Story (Singapore) in May 2022
Interview
Was heavily condescended and looked down upon by the interviewer (ashley), even though i was just applying for an intern position at the company. She asked a lot of irrelevant and personal questions about my personal life and experiences. And she also asked for all my personal details such as IC/address before the interview even commenced. She also kept trying to persuade me out of the position by saying that the pay was low/it was very tough to intern there. She kept reminding me that i can reject her offer in the case that she does offer me a position, which was very unprofessional. She also kept speaking broken english and chinese which overall made the whole mood of the interview seem very informal, but she had expected a pitch deck/slides and a speech for the answers to her interview questions despite never stating it was mandatory. She also kept scolding me for not being able to answer the question she gave. This is just an interview for an intern position. Overall, very bad experience and very entitled interviewer

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at One Food Story (Singapore) in Dec 2021
Interview
The "interview" process was all via email. In fact, I'm not sure I even progressed to the actual interview part of the whole application process. I applied through Internsg, and they emailed me back asking for my full resume, portfolio, as well as a short video introduction of myself answering 2 questions they provided. After I sent that, they got back to me and asked me to fill up an application form with all the details ranging from employment history, to family members' background, to past major medical illnesses, personal details such as address, IC number, etc.
The next reply from them was them telling me that they would contact me IF I was shortlisted. I was taken aback because I was under the impression that I was already in the confirmation stage after sending every single detail and contact information about my life.
Later on, they clarified that there are actually 3 rounds of shortlisting before the final confirmation. I had only made it to the first round of shortlisting.
I didn't get the internship after all, which makes me feel like I gave away all of my personal information to a bunch of strangers to analyze for nothing. I feel like the application form should only be completed once the position has been confirmed.

Question 1
They asked me the textbook interview questions such as why I wanted an internship with the company and what I hope to gain from it. The difficult part is that there are 3 rounds of shortlisting for an INTERNSHIP. Isn't an internship supposed to be a learning experience? Why go through such a meticulous, nitpicky process?
