I was contacted via phone 1 week after I sent an e-mail with my application, for an in-person interview. I was sent an application form to fill in and bring to the interview. I had about 30-minute interview with HR manager who made a brief presentation of the company, we spoke about my professional experience.
The first interview was immediately followed by another 30-minute interview with the Hiring manager during which we discussed the position, why I thought I was a fit for it, etc. I have worked in and managed both qualitative and quantitative projects for over 10 years, so we spoke about how the work there was organized and I shared some of my relevant experience.
Interviews went very well. We seemed to share language from a common professional background. I even sent them a Thank you e-mail on the next day.
2 weeks after the interview I had no feedback when there was supposed to be some (considering the interviews agenda the Hiring Manager spoke about), so I called to ask for news and left a message. On the next day, I received an email saying that another candidate was chosen.
Yet another small provincial company, you don't get in unless you know someone from inside! The rest of interviews are to make numbers.
