I went through two interviews for a content marketing position at Oguz Law in August. The second round with the manager was highly positive (to the point where we discussed what I’d do once I joined). It truly felt like I was progressing toward an offer.
However, the following week I received a rejection email. Disappointing, but not uncommon, what raised red flags was that the exact same job post was re-opened shortly after, and when I re-applied (curious to see if they were simply still hiring), I received a generic automated rejection quickly.
It gave the impression that the listing might be used to gather ideas or candidates without a clear hiring intention. This kind of inconsistency is frustrating and unprofessional, especially for senior applicants who invest significant time and energy into interviews and even prepping hypothetical strategies.
I hope the company improves its communication and recruiting clarity. Job seekers deserve transparency and respect for their time.
