Odyssey Systems interview questions

Recruiter set up a time for a short screening conversation to learn about candidate background and motivation for applying. The next step was a hiring manager interview, which was mostly just the Odyssey manager giving an overview of the site hierarchy and research group, with only a couple questions about experience with relevant lab techniques. The last step was visiting the site and lab, which they called a "meet and greet." The visit was meeting the actual scientists and technicians who worked in the lab and surrounding groups, taking a tour, and learning more about their research. It didn't feel like an interview and barely any questions were asked, my conclusion is that this was so that they could get an idea of who I was and my personality and to give me the opportunity to have a better idea of what they were doing and the environment. The process was very swift and the recruiter was responsive, but it seemed to me that they made their decision with my resume and skills listed there as a determining factor, as the interview process wasn't in depth and didn't really touch on behavorial and teamwork questions and didn't seem to consider my motivation and experience with learning new skills other than asking about my level of experience with desired skills. The whole process took about three weeks from initial contact to rejection.

Overall a generic interview, typical questions and good conversation overall. Nothing unnecessary or overly complicated to prepare for. Interviewer was nice and easy to talk to, and the interview lasted about 20 minutes
