      Digital Marketing Strategist Interview

      20 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ocozzio in Sept 2025

      Interview

I’m in a local Atlanta marketing work group. One of the Ocozzio employees who is also a member of the group, posted 2 jobs that the company was hiring for, sounding very promising since there was mention that the company was growing. I applied and received an email for an initial phone interview right away. During the interview, the interviewer told me that there is no rush on hiring someone as they're not even sure they will be opening/filling this position, but that they were just putting out feelers to see if a good candidate comes along in case they DO decide to hire. And that I would hear back 1-2 weeks either way whether they will proceed with me or not. I did everything by the book, including writing a thank you email to the interviewer after the interview, and I never received a response from her. Shortly after my interview, I posted in the marketing work group, inquiring about whether it is standard practice or not for companies to post jobs they’re unsure they are hiring for. Coincidentally, after I made this anonymous post in the group, I received a rejection letter stating that they had decided to close the position and not move forward with my candidacy. Another group member that also applied to this position said her interview sounded like they were going to move forward with her, but then she received that same rejection letter the day prior. Don’t waste your time interviewing for a company that may or may not be hiring for positions that they post.
