1 interview with a 5 person panel. Asked tons of personality questions and not so much technical. Will be different from place to place and on who the senior scientist is.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you could do one thing everyday for the rest of your life, what would that be?
It was basic questions, why I wanted to work there, my growth, what I would add, about my experience. I felt it was bare minimum but you need to know your research.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ORISE (Columbus, OH) in May 2025
Interview
Good technical interview process, very much about my real world experience rather than easily Googleable questions. Ultimately, I was very upfront about my minimum salary expectation and they still chose to waste multiple hours of my time through multiple interviews and disqualified me in the final round based on information available from the beginning on my resume and my stated salary expectation.
