You cannot get this job without being promoted from within. O'Reilly has a culture of promoting to this type of management position. It is possible to be hired and put on a training program along with working a lower position. But it is rare for this position. This position requires a strong professional sales background with 5+ years of understanding the automotive aftermarket.

I was recruited to work in a store initially. I eventually was promoted to a Territory Sales Manager. From there I was promoted to RFSM. The main reason I was promoted was that no one else wanted to move or was unwilling to do the job for the initial low pay
