Only after repeated follow-ups did I hear back, and was informed that I had cleared all rounds and had been selected for the final CEO interview. I was asked to keep myself available within the next 2–3 days and was told HR would connect with me to confirm the details. Shockingly, less than 24 hours later, I received a message saying the company had stopped hiring for the role due to “internal changes” and that since I am already a senior manager, they won't hire me for any lower postion.
This entire process spanned nearly two months, wasting both my time and effort, only to end with an abrupt and vague rejection. Such practices reflect a complete lack of respect for candidates and their commitment. Based on this experience, I strongly advise job seekers to be cautious before engaging with companies that treat applicants’ time and efforts so lightly.
