Received an invite to a phone screening, passed it and she moved me on to an in person interview. The in person interview got rescheduled and moved to a virtual interview. Both went well, said they would move me up to the third round, which would be a panel interview in a week or so. Emailed the recruiter with a thank you for your time, no response, two weeks later, I emailed the recruiter again asking if there was a status update for my application, no response.
Finally found the contact information for the person who interviewed me, thanked them for their time and asked for a status update if possible. 5 days later, here we are with a generic thanks but no thanks reject email. Just a genreric 'thanks human resources'.
If someone goes through multiple interviews with you, don't you think a personalized rejection email would be professionally appropriate? Who knows, if this is how things are allowed to be handled by HR, maybe I dodged a bullet.
