I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northern Brewer (New York, NY) in Apr 2017
Interview
Applied and heard back immediately from the VP of Marketing and had an awkward interview. He clearly wasn't used to this but a week later I interviewed with the president, who gave me tips for interviewing with AB In-bev, who recently bought the company.
I didn't hear back for a couple weeks until I received a canned denial email.
The whole thing felt unprofessional and disorganized. I also got the sense that this place doesn't care about customers but knows it will succeed because of its size and ability to price out competitors. This is even more true now that they have the resources of Big Beer.
Irritating? Yes. But this is all true and I'm glad this didn't work out. This place is a mess and a long time employee told me the president is an arrogant micromanager and treats employees like they are expendable.
After a long chat with the president and a tour of the facility, I expected more than a canned denial.
I applied online. I interviewed at Northern Brewer (Minneapolis, MN) in Jun 2017
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter/head hunter regarding an open position at Northern Brewer. She and I did an informal interview to prep for the real one, which was unnecessary but I went along with it. When the real interview came, I was interviewed for an entirely different position that I wasn't as interested in and was less responsibility. I never found out if it was the companies fault or the recruiter's but either way it was a massive waste of time. Not impressed.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Northern Brewer (Roseville, MN) in Oct 2013
Interview
the interview toke five minuntes, the drug test toke longer, about 3 hours at a clinic. they are going to a temp service a this time. this is so they can get rid of people quickly.
