I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at North Lake College (Irving, TX) in Aug 2015
Interview
Very nice, to the point, and they let me know before I left interview that I had the position. It was a relaxed interview with three other professors. I felt very comfortable with the questions being asked.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at North Lake College (Irving, TX) in May 2015
Interview
Was referred by an employee. I applied and received a phone call to set up an interview. A few days later, I was contacted to set up a meeting that would be face-to-face. I went into their Irving Central Campus and interviewed with the program coordinator/hiring manager. Really easy to talk to, nice atmosphere. Mainly wanted to see if you would be a good fit for the team of instructors.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at North Lake College (Irving, TX) in Jul 2012
Interview
Basic questions about subject matter, Powerpoint presentation on subject of interviewer's choice. What they didn't tell me during the interview process is that the Dallas County Community College system has a minimum pass rate - if you don't pass 80% of your students every semester, they require you to fill out a form indicating what you will do differently to make sure at least 80% pass. And, you don't get more classes.
Like many public colleges, it's a diploma mill.
