They asked a series of questions about my experience and some questions about what I would do in certain scenarios. Most of the "correct" answers were compassion-based. There was a phone screening before the official interview. After that I had to do a background check and some other things.

I had one in-person interview after submitting my application. The interview was with a search committee of 4 people in a variety of senior level positions. I spent an hour talking with the group in a casual and conversational environment.

Interview
I applied online and was contacted for the interview. I was Interviewed by a panel of four high-level library and city staff at the same time, each rotating asking questions. There were also follow-up questions and those that were not "scripted." It took about an hour. I was offered the job the next day after completing the interview.
