Went through 5 interviews and the last was to be with the CEO presumably with an offer. After the 5th, I was told they were meeting to go over their notes and hopefully would hear something that Friday. I heard nothing and waited until the next week to reach out and check in. It took several days to get a generic reply that they've decided to move in another direction. I replied, obviously disappointed, asking for any feedback. Considering I applied at the end of May and started the interviewing process at the beginning of June and was finally told August 16th I wasn't chosen, I felt like I should've gotten some feedback of some sort at a minimum. 5 interviews drawn out over that span of time is a very long time to have someone hang in there and waiting.

Received an email from HR to set schedule a phone interview. Phone interview went well. Asked very basic questions. HR gave me a breakdown of what the duties were and about the company. Advised that the next call would be with someone form the department. I received an email the following week stating they were going in a different direct rection and asked if they could keep my app and info on file. i said yes and i sent them an inquiry for feedback. no reply.
