I applied as a UX/UI Designer at Nokia in Wroclaw. I thought it has to be a nice experience but the offices in Wroclaw are so bad in communication and with
no experience, they even lack respect.
The first stage is supposed to be an interview in their offices. They don't notify me and call to ask me why I'm not present in their offices.
After I tell them that I received no mail, it took them 2-3 days to find out who's fault was it.
Than they apologize and say that it was their internal problem of communication.
We set another date for the interview. I go and after the interview they said that were going to send me a task with a deadline.
I receive no mail until the date of the deadline when the HR calls and asks about the task.
I tell him that I received nothing, and he again apologizes(I don't know if they really mean that). Still apologizes accepted. I do the task and send them.
They don't reply me for almost 1 month until I write them and ask how about my application.
They still forgot to answer me, Of course the answer was negative, and they said that I had a slightly different background for what they're searching for.
(I hope they know what they're searching for). So it was very obvious that I would receive a negative feedback, but I was curious to go to the end of it.
So I ask myself, if they behave without respect in the first stages at this point I'm lucky not to be inside those offices. They had no responsibility,
lack of respect, lack of professionalism, communication and humanity. Even the guy that interviewed me knows nothing what he was asking for, he was reading
in the paper all the time and checking for my correct answers.
The reason of this kind of acting usually is when they want to hire someone suggested from inside. I noticed that in Wroclaw, Polish people(managers, hr,
lead positions), they hire each other, and someone they know. and it's not true that it's an international company how they advertise in the city.
Very closed minded, and I guess they're going to continue like that if they are not opened to multi-cultural environment.
