I applied online. I interviewed at Nillumbik Shire Council
Interview
Applied online, filled out a brief questionarre. Got called into an interview in person.
Attended, they seemed friendly, asked a bunch of behavioral questions, but didn't really ask about technical experience at all which was bizarre considering it's a technical position.
Didn't hear anything futher - no rejection email, nothing. Considering i applied within a candidate portal, and all they needed to do was press a button, it's a massive red flag for me and shows disrespect towards candidates. If people are going to make the effort to prep for an interview, and attend in person, at least have the basic decency to give them an outcome.
Unacceptable, and reflects poorly on their organisation as a whole. I noticed the other interview review here mentioned the same experience. I've been personally warned off this council by multiple people... i'm starting to understand why!

Interview
Interview was more akin to an interrogation of past activities and dates rather than discussion of skills. To add insult to that experiance, I received no communications after the interview, so I assume I didn't get the job.
