Had a 10 minute interview with a recruiter. How can you learn anything about anyone in 10 minutes? I had no ability to ask any questions or really tell her anything about my background. When I asked for feedback on what went wrong I was ignored which is pretty unprofessional.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Niantic in Jan 2022
Interview
I had a not so great interview. The interviewer spent the majority of the time telling me that I was wrong and that it takes a certain kind of person to handle the toxicity in the Pokemon Go community, which felt like he was implying that I wouldn't be able to handle it, which was odd because I told him multiple times that I was an active player and a part of the community already. Overall, I left knowing this wasn't for me and I didn't want to work somewhere that spoke about their community in that way.

Question 1
Really easy questions. The only thing that was hard was trying to answer him while his teams chat was constantly going off.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Niantic (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
Multi-step virtual "onsite" with several members of the team and management. Excellent communication throughout the process and very friendly team. Most interviews conducted virtually with 2+ members of the team on each.
