Phone conversation with the internal recruiter / HR, followed by onsite interview with the manager and a peer.
The internal recruiter was very professional at all times. The manager however was a little vague in the interview, and unable provide clear answers regarding what skills and experience he was looking for in the role.
I was subsequently informed that the JD was changed following the initial round of candidate interviews, and they went back to market with updated responsibilities.
In hindsight the initial interview round seemed disingenuous, and served more to fine tune the JD than an attempt to genuinely fill the role.
I'm sure this made no difference to my potential employment at NZ Post, but it did seem that (in this department at least) there was not a lot of respect for candidates time.
