A Digital Subscription Sales role based in Hong Kong. Went through 4 rounds to the last stage which took one month. I had an initial interview HRBP in HK Ms. Ho and been in contact throughout the whole process. All interviews were smooth and just when I thought I had the chance to get the position, they chose to ghost me for four weeks after the last one without any updates or even a rejection, especially when the role needed to be filled urgently. I had to send a follow-up email asking for updates and, unsurprisingly, she replied with a general and templated rejection without a single personalized feedback or an apology. Such experience was frustrating, unprofessional and rather unexpected, especially from a big media company which I thought effective communication should be their priority, and when a candidate had gone through all the stages.
