I applied online. I interviewed at New York Life (New Orleans, LA) in Jun 2018
Interview
I applied for a financial analyst position and in the interview realized that it was actually a sales position. Nothing in the job posting mentioned anything that would have indicated that it was an actual sales job. If you put a job posting for a financial analyst and talk about commission in the interview, don’t be surprised if you get people who aren’t cut out for sales applying.
The interview process included an initial recruiter screening, followed by behavioral and technical interviews focused on financial analysis, Excel, data interpretation, communication skills, and fit with New York Life’s team culture.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at New York Life (Miami, FL) in May 2025
Interview
I had an interview with New York Life. We discussed the responsibilities, work format, and client acquisition. The job seems promising but requires initiative, self-organization, and readiness to work without a fixed salary.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2025
Interview
The first round of the interview process is a phone call with a recruiter, second is a zoom interview (very informal, just want to get to know you), third is an in person interview at their office. All were with the same recruiter.
