I applied online. I interviewed at New York Language Center
Interview
Friendly atmosphere, thorough questions and whole company history. Explained my role intensive and not the best way of doing this. I’m not sure if it’s a problem but if you want to come over for the first day I would suggest that you have the same thing.
The first interview was just a few questions about my experience and knowledge of grammar. The second part, on another day and different location was a demo lesson, which I prepared in about 15 minutes on site. Straightforward process.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at New York Language Center (New York, NY) in May 2017
Interview
I emailed my (unsolicited) resume to the branch director. After speaking with her on the phone, she forwarded my details to HR for screening and a formal interview. Once I met with the HR manager, I filled out the application, went over the resume with her, she made copies of all my credentials (you must bring the originals), and I was asked to observe teachers at my local branch for a couple of hours. Once all of that was concluded, I returned a second time to sign the dotted line. Everyone was very friendly the whole time. They are nice people.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was mainly asked methodology questions. They want to know how you can teach the lower levels without translation.
