Started the process via a job posting on LinkedIn from a recruitment company. Following that I had to wait a few weeks before being invited to interview on site. The office was fairly standard, location is very nice, and the products were very cool but the actual interview with the hiring manager was odd.
I had a brief moment at the beginning of the interview to go over my experience and there were moments where I could interject but a majority of the interview was the hiring manager telling me about the company and role. Of course I don't mind this since the initial call was from an external recruiter, which doesn't give you a lot of visibility into the company as a whole, but the hiring manager seemed to a bit pompous.
I was told during the interview that the company expects a long training period and expects the successful candidate to take up to a year to fully integrate into the process. This, however, wasn't the case as I was rejected due to not having specific enough development experience and the team not having the time to train the incoming PD.
I feel for the team they have on staff currently, they must be short staffed frequently if the hiring managers are this particular.
