I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Neverland Faces (Santa Clara, CA)
Interview
Phone interview, then informal lunch interview, then they observe my work along with seeing my portfolio. Once they decided they were going to make an offer, they required that I get fingerprinted, submit to a background check and followed up on my references. I was floored that in the offer they pay your first years performers insurance and if you can't pay it in following years, they will pay it up front for you and you can have it taken over time from your pay. I felt very respected, that this was really a company that cared for its employees as much as it did for its clients.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do I deal with annoyed customers or children having a breakdown? Can I be creative and make art up as I do or do I need a stock set of art to work from? Do I have a disability that would prevent me from doing my job unless reasonable accommodations are made? If I knew I was going to show up 10 minutes late, how would I deal with this and would I work later to make up the lost time on the back end? When I am supposed to be somewhere at 1 pm, when do I usually end up at the client location, set up and ready to go? Am I willing to follow the company policies on dress code, punctuality, quality, hygiene and sanitation protocols?
