The recruiter screen was fine and they fast-tracked me to a second round, which felt promising. That interview was bizarre, though. No questions about my background, skills, or experience, just an interviewer who clearly wanted off the call. Shortly after, I was told they’d decided to move forward with candidates who more closely aligned to their needs. That felt odd, since they never asked me anything that would have let them assess whether I met those needs. A waste of both my time and the interviewer’s, and I’d expect an HR hiring manager to know better.
