I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at NetApp
Interview
It was a long courtship. Recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn and since NetApp has been on my radar, I was more than happy to discuss the job opportunity with them. However the headcount was put on hold for some unknown reasons and I had to follow up with the recruiter to find out the reason why they didn't get back to me after putting my resume across to the hirer.
After a year, the opportunity prevailed itself again and this time I got it through an employee referral. Unfortunately I had to "beg" my way through to get an interview with the Marketing supervisor (this role strangely reported to the Marketing person and not to PR organization). Eventually we met and it was not a pleasant interview because the person is new to covering PR as part of the person's supervisory role. As such, many instances, the person cannont sync thoughts with me in terms of PR discipline and cannot explain the challenges facing the role. What's worst, the person interjected me a few times when I was being asked give reasons to the questions asked. Rudely, the person told me off not to explain further and told me to just give "yes" or "no" to the questions. Fortunately I didn't get the offer - because, I don't think I could work for someone who does not: 1. Understand the role 2. Most importantly, does not promote two-way communication with subordinate - this was clearly seen in how the person conducted the interview by interjecting, not listening and telling people off straight in their face!

Question 1
No since the person did not seem to be willing to conduct the interview with me (claiming busy schedules and pushing back the request a few them and from the person's body language). Plus the person does not seem to be able to answer questions on the PR expectations and challenges when I asked how the organization would conduct PR and what would be the immediate expectations and challenges for the candidate.
