I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nest Wealth Asset Management (Toronto, ON)
Interview
My entire process with Nest Wealth was smooth and straight forward. In total there were 4 rounds, ranging from technical to behavioral questions
- The first round was a online technical assessment which was timed.
- The second round was a follow up with the Talent Manager (Megan). Where we covered my background , the role and the problems company is trying to solve.
- The third round was with the Head of Product Engineering (Andrei). We discussed my background and discussed how I had approached certain scenarios in the past. In addition we discussed the technology stack used at Nest Wealth and some questions surrounding it.
- The fourth round was with Software Engineer (Hofseb) and Software Team Lead (Youssef). Majority of this round consisted of behavioral questions and the final 10 - 15 mins left for me to ask them questions.
Everyone I interviewed with was transparent and very open to answering any questions. Megan was very prompt in getting back to me and made the process very seamless.

Interview
After applying online I promptly received an email asking to complete a tech assessment. This was unlike other tech assessments I had done in the past that it was only expected to take 45 minutes. This was a nice change from the typical 2-5 hour tech assessments I've experienced in the past. The questions were reasonable and very real world applicable.
After completing that I went through three interviews, one with the talent team, a technical interview, and an interview with the hiring manager.
All interviews felt comfortable and casual. Megan was fantastic at answering questions quickly and clearly. I always knew what to expect in each stage of the process and never felt like I had trick questions, or questions unrelated to the job asked of me.
