      I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Neiman Marcus (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2019

      Interview

      The Process: The entire process took about 4 weeks. I applied online on a Thursday (3/14) and received an email from HR on the following Monday (3/18) to set up a screening phone call. The screening call happened on a Thursday (3/21) and the next day I scheduled an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager for that Monday (3/25). Two weeks later (4/08) I was contacted for a second in-person interview with the VP of Spend Analytics. The second interview took place later that week on a Friday morning (4/12) and I got a call later that afternoon saying they were going to extend an offer. They sent me a benefits email for me to review over the weekend. On Monday (4/15), I got the official offer. Signed a lot of paperwork and they're doing a background check. Barring everything checks out, I start on May 6th! Interview 1: I met with the Hiring Manager. We discussed background and the job in more detail and his vision for the role. We bounced ideas off of each other. It was a very casual, easy-going interview. Probably one of the most fun interviews I've ever had. No trick questions. He just wanted to know what qualifications I would bring to the table. The overall interview lasted longer than expected for a total of an hour and a half. I think 45 minutes to an hour is typical. Interview 2: I met with the VP of Spend Analytics. The interview was brief at about 30-40 minutes. Went through my background and the role in more detail. Discussed what he thought the biggest obstacles of the job would be and I gave him an overview of what I thought my first 30 to 60 days would look like in the role. Casual and easy. No trick questions.
