We really try to make sure that people we hire are a good fit for our culture so that they will be happy and succeed. Las Vegas has such a transient workforce and coupled with a long learning process of our industry, we need people who are looking for long term employment. And you can't always get this out of one interview.
As for people not talking during your tour, it is likely everyone was focused on their work and doing what they enjoy. Our culture is quality driven.
