Interview was an easy one, one work based assessment with three tasks such as 'how would you write a newsletter to our members?' and then the interview.
Everyone was really friendly, it really felt like an informal chat and the questions were the basic 'why did you want to work for NGA' and 'do you have experience in collecting data, presenting and analysing it?' You can clearly tell everyone was passionate about their roles and what the organisation stands for.
When I was interviewing however, it was very clear to me that they had already chosen there candidate. They had pen and papers in there hands and I am presuming they needed to note down my answers but they did not, they only refered back to the papers to ask questions so I quickly realised that I was out of the running even before the end of the interview. I answered the questions to the best of my abilities but of course, another candidate had clearly been chosen in their heads so I honestly had no chance.
Also just before my interview ended, one of the panelists mentioned another candidate for this role and whether their CV was available which was actually quite surprising as they should have waited for me to leave the interview before mentioning other candidates.
It was honestly so frustrating to get feedback the next day that stated that my experiences wasn't enough because this should have been picked up right at the beginning, before I was even offered an interview. This is because no matter what I said in this interview, my experience would still remain insufficient for them so this reverts back to why even offer me an interview?
It was honestly a waste of time, as mentioned everyone was nice, but the feedback from this organisation was awful and overall led to a negative experience.
