I applied online. I interviewed at National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (New York, NY) in May 2024
Interview
Initial phone screen, then zoom interviews after that. The interview questions focused on whether I would fit into their DEI environment, not about my background or about the organization and its efforts as a charitable organization. I felt like their focus is political.

Question 1
How do you feel about diversity in the marketplace?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at National Bleeding Disorders Foundation in Feb 2022
Interview
Applied online, was contacted by HR within a few days to schedule a phone screening. I then advanced to a video interview with the hiring manager. The video interview included the hiring manager, along with two other staff members. To my surprise the hiring manager left the interview early (after only about 20 minutes) for another commitment. It appears they promoted from within - and the hiring manager likely had already made that decision. I am not 100% positive, but believe the person who filled the position was actually one of the staff included in my interview - which is just wrong. It is in poor taste for an organization to request references prior to the interview - only to receive a rejection email before any of my references were even able to respond to the survey the NHF had automatically generated and sent to their inbox.

Question 1
What is your experience working remotely?
How do you manage multiple tasks?
How do you feel about donation incentives?
How would you manage a staff member who technically reports to you but does not work with you? (actually asked by the staff member who would be in that situation).
I applied online. I interviewed at National Bleeding Disorders Foundation in Jul 2021
Interview
Was given a phone screen then scheduled for an interview with the head of department James Uyeda and two other employees. The interview took place in early July and went very well however when I contacted for an update in late July I was told they were still deciding. It is now September and they never bothered to email a “thank you but we’ve chosen another candidate update.” Overall I get the impression they are unprofessional and not a company I would want to work with.
