There was an initial application, then an aptitude test, then a phone interview and then an assessment day. The assessment day included looking at a businesses accounts and feeding back in these, an interview and a presentation style assessment.

- first was generic fill in application about your education, work experience - then invited to a 20 min numerical test, not time-limited but records the time you spend on each question. quite easy, basic percentage changes - had 4 written competency questions (250 words max), to time limit

Please describe a time when you have needed to weigh-up a number of options before making an important decision. Please describe a time when you have had to show a degree of initiative and determination to reach an objective. Given the range of organisations that employ graduates, why have you chosen to apply to be an Assistant Auditor with the National Audit Office?
It was a really pleasant experience. Everyone was really helpful and available to answer questions. Sometimes they were a little slow in replying to emails but overall they were extremely helpful!
