I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NHS
Interview
I sent my application through and received an invitation to complete a Situational Judgement Test 3 days later, which I completed on the same day it was sent through. This was a Friday.
On the Monday after, I received an invitation to a 30 minute telephone interview, which i underwent the next day. They also sent through a situational question that they wanted me to think about that they would ask during the interview.
I received an invitation to a Webex Interview about 20 minutes after the telephone call. This was scheduled for the following week.
I underwent the interview, and the next morning, I received confirmation of appointment for the role.
The entire recruitment process took a total of 15 days.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- What do you know about our company?
- What do you think the role will involve on the daily?
- Can you describe a time when you have dealt with someone who was emotionally distressed? (We would be most interested to hear an example of someone who is not a close friend or family member). How did you help them through this situation? How did you feel after the situation?
- How would you deal with an angry/abusive caller?
- Our company is like a big family. What can you bring to a team?
- What are your greatest qualities?
- What type of role are you looking for- Full-time/Part-time , Days/Nights etc.
They also went into alot of detail about what the training process looked like, how they would assess you prior to beginning working solo, how payscale and hours work, how rotas are organised etc. They provide a lot of really helpful information. The entire call/meeting is not solely question based.
I felt like they valued me knowing all of the answers to my questions, just as much as they wanted answers to theirs. They don't sugarcoat how difficult the job is, and how challenging it can be, and no stone was left unturned in terms of knowing what the role entailed.
I feel ready to start my training with full knowledge of the companies plan for me, where the job can progress to, and what I am likely to expect.
The interview involved technical, competency, and skill-based questions. Two senior members assessed problem-solving, subject knowledge, teamwork, and communication through scenario-based and practical questions, evaluating both technical expertise and cultural fit.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NHS (Uxbridge, England) in Mar 2025
Interview
Firstly, I went through a telephone assessment before I was selected for an in-person interview. The telephone assessment was around 10 minutes long and the interview was around an hour long excluding the time taken where you get taken to the floor to see how the place is run.
