All fairly standard, and the people seemed nice, although the recruiter I spoke to first on the phone obviously didn't know what the position entailed (possibly because it's a new position). The trouble arose when they gave me an offer and I asked for a pay increase of about 10%. It was clear over the phone that my attempt to negotiate was extremely unwelcome, and shortly thereafter they emailed me to rescind the offer.
