The interview felt very casual...almost too casual in my opinion- it felt like it was more of a formality than someone actually interested in getting to know me. I have a feeling they're promoting internally- which is fine, but after looking up some current employees on LinkedIn, it seems people are getting rapidly promoted (coordinator to director in 2 years feels like a crazy jump). Not a super great look.
It sounds like the org has some lofty goals with no strategic plans.
They asked me about my qualifications and why I wanted to join the team, fairly standard stuff. But, when it was my turn to ask questions, I inquired about the biggest goal and biggest challenge. The interviewer seemed shy to answer and just replied that their biggest goal is to grow....and then didn't speak too much about the challenges. Not super reassuring. I've worked in non-profit my entire career- I understand how toxic they can be, and this has red flag written all over it.
