      Customer Service Interview

      28 Sept 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sarasota, FL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MyUS.com (Sarasota, FL) in Sept 2014

      Interview

I filled out the myriad online forms and essays and did a fabulous job I believed on the essay. Spending as much time as I do on the phone and chat with customer service people I knew what they were looking for in a top notch customer service rep. I type 60+ WPM (70 in my practice session), did what I thought was an exemplary job on the chat essay, so I felt I was very qualified for that aspect. During the face to face interview she was a 1/2 hour late due to a new software roll-out. When she arrived, I thought I answered all of her questions perfectly as well. I was so sure I had one of the open Customer Service positions I believed she'd ask me to start the next day. Instead she told me to check my email. She had to hand the results of the interview off to the final reviewer (I never met) and I'd receive an offer in a few days. Two days later I received an email that stated: Thank you for interviewing with us for the Customer Service Representative - Online Membership Services position. We were impressed with your skills and experience. While you were not selected for the Customer Service Representative Position, an opportunity could exist in the future that better matches your skill set, we will continue to review your qualifications for future job matches. Please continue to monitor our websites for future opportunities. Sincerely, MyUS.com Recruitment Team Imagine my surprise. I don't know what I said during the interview she didn't like, but there MUST have been something.
