I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Motorola Solutions (Chicago, IL) in Sept 2024
Interview
I was interviewed by a Sr. PM for a PM position at Motorola Solutions. The interview went really well, I answered all the questions in the STAR method, relevant to the job and added equivalent information about tech, leadership, telecom & HW. The Hiring manager was herself an international candidate and is working on a VISA. The HR was an international candidate and is working on a VISA.
I was rejected for the position because they did not want to sponsor a VISA and give away a PM role to an international candidate and wanted to reserve it for US Citizens and people of non-color backgrounds. I pleaded and requested feedback for the reason for the rejection of the Hiring Manager and HR over the repeated number of emails and about how their feedback can help me grow but they never replied. I came to know about the reason after finding out about it later indirectly.
I reached out to Motorola Solutions Instagram as well to report this non-inclusive behavior but no one replied. Constant ghosting by such a big organization leads to the loss of confidence and mental health issues in this economy, and job market.
Not appreciated!
