I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Monks in Mar 2023
Interview
First Step- 15 minutes with recruiter, ask if you accepted a dev skiller test. Second Step - Dev Skiller Test 1 hour Third Step - The 8 hours application test to prove if you have good practices, I spent 10 hours to finish the application. I received the feedback that I was disapproved The technical feedback was totally superficial, they didn't even point out an error that disqualified me. They only said that the code should be cleaner in root, but they did not assess whether all the features were working or point out the points of disagreement. If they were respectful, they would at least direct someone technical to score what he really thinks, they write 3 strengths of my application and 1 negative and superficial and disqualify me.

Interview
Apparently, TheoremOne seems to be a serious company. Once you start the selection process. You begin to doubt about it.
- First call from a HR person which describes the job position, benefits, and gives you more details about the Company itself, and finally asks you the salary expectations. At here, all good. No concerns.
- Coding Test. They send you a link to online platform where you need to answer technical questions regarding the position you are applying for, and that test also contains an exercise to resolve. (No problems at this point too).
- Practical Assessment. Here, it's what made me to not trust on the process. They send you invitations to a GitHub repository and a Slack channel where they expect you to be involved in a normal working day. You need to take tickets (Subtasks) in a sample project. You also need to come up with a architecture design. However, you have to balance and manage your time. Having conversations with team members they suggest you yo complete as many task as possible, and not to waste much time on architecture part. So you don't really know what are they expectations. After three days being part of team. I decided to not spend more time on it since I considered the work done it was going to be enough to evaluate the way a work.
- Feedback call. At end, they took a decision of not moving forward my process. Their reasons were I did not implement a well architecture. So I couldn't understand because they were constantly saying to complete tasks instead of architecture.
My suspicious is that they are used to using people to complete their tasks and make people wasting time to end up rejecting you.
I do not really recommend you try to become a employee for a such kind of companies.

Question 1
I didn't have technical questions more than practical exercise.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
I want to assure everyone reading this that our assessments are not production work. We custom-design all of our assessments to bring a real-world experience to your hiring process.
As this review explains, we do not give a prioritized list of work in the assessment. We only hire senior engineers at TheoremOne, so part of the assessment evaluation is how you prioritize your work and communicate your decisions to the team.
