I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MongoDB (New York, NY) in Jan 2017
Interview
8 rounds! Several calls with internal talent acquisition. Call and in-person with hiring manager. 6 with regional and cross-functional peers. One peer was very technical and asked a question he knew I couldn't answer (he told me as much). Asked for a framework then browbeat me for technical details.
They declined me from process. 2 weeks later they altered JD and called me back. After a couple more calls and 2.5 hour in-person that turned into almost 5 hours they declined me for the 2nd time via an email that was sent before being written completely.
