I started interviewing for the role beginning of October and got a verbal offer in December after many rounds, briefs, presentations, roleplay and follow up discussion. After several months and been given the offer two days later a recruiter I hadn’t been dealing with for most of the process rang me at 5:30pm on a Friday night for 3-5 minutes to tell me that the executives had gone to an offsite the last few days and decided they instead wanted the headcount in Melbourne. She then said that the recruiter I had mainly been dealing with would call me on the following Monday to discuss further. I never heard another word from them.
