This was by far the most uncomfortable interview I’ve ever experienced. Mac came across as extremely arrogant and dismissive from the start. He opened the call with a casual “What’s up?” and immediately asked what I’d been doing since graduation and what my skills were. After I shared my background, he began quizzing me in a way that felt more confrontational than conversational.
I was caught off guard by his standoffish demeanor, which made it difficult to give my best answers. At one point, he even answered a phone call while I was mid-sentence—an action that felt both unprofessional and disrespectful.
The overall vibe was tense and impersonal. He made it clear that he didn’t believe I was a good fit, and frankly, I felt the same. I couldn’t see myself working for someone who made such little effort to engage respectfully and seemed more interested in asserting superiority than in having a constructive dialogue.
