Complete waste of time.
There are 3 interviews: 1 with recruiter, 1 with another junior finance controller and 1 with CFO and local office manager. On the 1st interview they asked my current salary and what are my expectations, they were Ok with it and continued interviewing. They mentioned that they are looking for a hard working person, not with 9-5 mentality. I was told I’m exactly the profile they were looking for, and I had a good feeling about it. The position is indeed interesting, but it’s definitely not a junior role, it requires good accounting and finance background. After all the interviews they offered a salary which is lower than what I currently have. What kind of motivation do they expect? Who would accept going an extra mile and being paid less for it? They refused increasing the offer, didn’t even match my current salary level and posted the open position again the same day. They are looking for finance controller since November 2023 and most probably will keep looking. They offer a standard accountant salary, but you will be doing a controller (both accounting and finance controllership) role.
